This is a chile relleno burrito appreciation post! Not a lot of places offer chile relleno burritos, and when I found out Isla Bonita has it on their menu, I had to try. The burrito comes with rice, refried beans, and the chile relleno w/ cheese. However, I customized it and asked for whole beans instead of refried beans, and added sour cream & extra cheese. It was the best chile relleno burrito I've ever had! I called in my order for pick up, to eat at home. The burrito was a good size, I was only able to eat half and saved the other half for later!
Wonderful food and customer service. Price is good. Had the Carnitas. Was very good. My husband had the cheese enchiladas. The chips and salsa is very good.
We eat there quite often and really enjoy the food, and the friendly service, and the cost is very reasonable, had lunch there the other day and it was under , $25. 00. We have another home in Placerville and it would have been more than double that. Happy Diners Marty and Sherry
I came here with a friend. This is a nice little restaurant in Bethel Island. I enjoyed the chile relleno plate, which was actually really good. It comes with rice beans and salad. The portion of the chile relleno was nice. It's stuffed with a lot of cheese and a good tomatoe suace that goes over it. The staff was friendly. They came by often to fill my cup up with more coffee. I really enjoyed this place. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Overall, I rate this place a solid 8/10. I would definitely come back.

Was starving and wanted to try the local breakfast spot, ordered the green chilaquiles with carnitas and they were flavorful but small portion, still satisfying. Ordered a chile relleno too and it was perfect, melts cheese, and the sauce was tasty. The horchata was too sweet and tasted like they added too much milk. They have a Joe's Special that I want to try next time.
